Our client is a hospital in Staunton, Virginia that has an immediate need for a full-time Diagnostic Ultrasound Tech. This medium-sized hospital is a regional one serving the needs of a large part of Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley. This position will perform diagnostic, scans for OB or Pelvis and Vascular; there are some leg scans involved during the evening hours. Shift is "hybrid" in that the tech is guaranteed a 40- hour pay week regardless of the number of hours worked. Schedule is this: on-site hours are Monday - Thursday 4 PM - 6 PM to help with shift change; Call schedule is Sunday - Thursday from 5 PM - 7 AM. Average call is 2-3 hours before midnight and once after midnight. IF this hybrid shift isn't interesting, the Director is looking into a regular day shift hours with rotating call. Hospital has 3 RADIOLOGY rooms, use Phillips ATL, Siemens, and Acuson equipment.

Staunton is a wonderful city of 25,000 nestled between the Blue Ridge and the Allegheny Mountains in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. It is rich in history and Victorian architecture and in recreational and educational opportunities from skiing in winter to the Museum of American Frontier Culture and the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library at His Birthplace.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in Ultrasound and some Vascular is needed; will consider people that are NOT registered; however, registration will be required within a set time frame.

SALARY: Hospital's hourly rate ranges from $22/hour through $30/hour. Salary could be higher depending on experience. There is also a Non-Benefit Option that will earn approximately $2 - $3/hour more. For the "hybrid" position, there is no shift differential since you're guaranteed a 40 hour pay week; however, for the regular day shift opening, there is an additional 10% for weekend coverage and 12% for evening coverage (based on your hourly rate).
